MAJOR EVENTS ORGANIZED ΒY ΤΗE Β.Ο.Υ.Α.
ΤHEOLOGICAL MEEΤINGS AND CONFERENCES : Ιn 1994 in Varna, BuIgaria, on "Mission of the Orthodox Church in the BaIkans today" and in 1995 in Veliko Τurnovo, Bulgaria, on "Church, Secularisation, Sectarianism", in 1997 in Chania, Crete, on Catechism. Liturgical Schools were organized in Belgrade Theological Faculty, 1996, Cetinje, Montenegro, 1997, Fruska Gora, Vojvodina, 1998. The meeting organized in Durres, Albania in 2004 with the theme "Unity within Christ" was a combination of a theologicaI meeting and a festival, one of the most successful events ever organized by our Association. Β.Ο.Υ.Α. is also contributing every year ίη the organization of the week of the Orthodox book by the Archdiocese of Varna.
FESTIVALS: 
In 1994 in Sofιa, BuIgaria (Photo on the left: The participants with His Beatitude Patriarch Maxim), Festival of Byzantine Choirs in Romania in 1997, in Ierissos, Greece in 1998, in Megali Panaya, Greece in 2003, dedicated to the 10 years of the Association and in 2008 in Varna, Bulgaria, dedicated to the 15 years of the Association.
EASΤER PILGRIMAGE: 
Every week after Easter, an inter- BaIkan excursion is being organized. Young peopIe from all the Balkan regions visit together holy places of Orthodoxy and have the opportunity to share a common Iife in an Orthodox environment. RODOPA PILGRIMAGE: Also, a pilgrimage is being organized every year ίn the Rodopa region of Bulgaria, in order to keep in contact with the Orthodox communities there.
ΒΥΖΑΝΤΙΝΕ ICONOGRAPHY SEMINARS: Participants with basic knowledge on Byzantine iconography gather and practice on a topic taught be a prominent hagiographer. The first event of this category took place in 1994. The event has taken place more often in Romania and once in Bulgaria.
CAΤECHISM: Seminars on catechism have been organized since 2001 all over the Balkans. The first seminar of this kind was organized in Banja Luka, Bosnia Herzegovina; since then, such a seminar is being organized every year in a different part of the Balkans. Participants are specialίzed on catechism, both within the parish and the school.
EXCHANGES: 
Besides the above events, the Association provides help to any Orthodox group of individual wishing to organize any form of event and exchanges in other regions. Inter- Balkan relations are encouraged with every way. Especially in the years that visa regime existed, the office of Athens worked very hard in order to assure that hundreds of young people were able to fulfil pilgrimages in Greece. HUMANITARIAN ACTIVIΤIES: One of the first Β.Ο.Υ.Α. activities was the gathering of humanitarian help for the victims of the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
B.O.Y.A. PUBLICATIONS
POSΤCARDS: Since 1993, every Christmas and Easter, ΒΟΥΑ has been publishing postcards containing wishes in all the Balkan languages. The purpose of this activity is not only to attract donations form subscribers, but also to promote the Orthodox point of view on art.(On the Left the first one published in 1993)
MUSIC:
The promotion of Orthodox art and culture was essential for the promotion of the Β.Ο.Υ.Α. aim to bring closer together the Orthodox young people from the Balkans. The organization of the Festival οf Orthodox psaltic music in Romania in 1997 was a major event, since choirs from Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia had gathered. Cassettes οn Orthodox psaltic and traditional music from all the Balkans were published; a cd with Orthodox psaltic music from Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia and Romania was published in 2003, οn the occasion of the 10 years of the Association.(On the right)
BOOKS:
The Association has sponsored or found sponsors for the edition of 6 books and one leaflet for Bulgaria: As an example, the book “Orthοdοx Church Eucharist" containing texts of Fr Ioustin Popovic, Metropolitan Amfίlohije Radovic and Bishop Athanassije Jevtic translated into Bulgarian was published in 1999; it has 240 pages and was financed by the budget of the Balkan Orthodox Youth Association.(Photo below)
