On Sunday afternoon, February 5 at 7:30 pm, with the generous hospitality of the Holy Diocese of Kessariani Viron and Imitos, we celebrated the ceremony of the cutting of "St. Basil's Pie" of the B.OY.A. for the year 2012. The ceremony was blessed by His Eminence Daniel,Metropolitan of Kessariani, Viron and Imitos.(1st photo on the left) It took place in the Cathedral of St. Nicholas in Kaisariani -a suburb of Athens- in the room below the Church.
On this occasion there was a small briefing by the General Secretary, Vasilis Petrolekas. (2nd photo on the left) This included a small input on the aims, history and activities of the Asssociation. The General Secretary expressed the gratitude of the B.O.Y.A. for the assistance of the local Church throughout the years, since the very beginning of it's existence and thanked his Eminence for his blessings.
During the event, friends of the B.O.Y.A. from Athens, Sunday school teachers, as well as clerics from the surrounding churches were present (photos below). The youth from this Diocese was a founding member of the Association at the General Assembly of 1993.
